Plotting with a Royal

Aten is pretty much friends with everyone, unless they give him a reason to think otherwise. He is very open and accepting of people; after all, he's well aware what it feels like to feel he won't be accepted because of who he is. He loves to laugh and enjoy time in the sunshine, and he takes his coursework seriously. But not too seriously, as he's likely to pop a bad joke or tearable pun in the middle of a complex problem. He likes to keep things light and happy. His close friends, however, are people who are a little more serious than he is; they have to be tolerant, of course, and loyal. Ready for a spontaneous walk around the grounds or a quiet night in talking about life. He desperately needs friends in his life, because they're what motivate him to keep doing what he's doing, even when life gets hard.

I'm not even sure Aten knows what an enemy is. There are people he dislikes, and certainly people who dislike him, but he'd never go so far as to call them an enemy. However, if you've hurt one of his close friends, or he sees you blatantly ruining someone's day because of who they are, he won't hesitate to let you know he disagrees with you. He's very hesitant to get into a fight about it, and he has a hard time holding any grudges, though, so not much will come of it later. At least as far as he's concerned.

Aten needs someone who balances himself. Someone who is steady and grounded, who doesn't get lost in daydreams and who might hold a grudge for a little while. Someone who will force him to make decisions and bring out his best qualities while navigating his worst. However, he's also game for a fling, or some casual flirting. His love interest doesn't necessarily have to be the person he could get married to, just a boy he loves to be around and gets the occasional stomach butterfly over.
