Beau walked out of the castle and onto the ground of the school after is first day of lessons. He was looking down as many students had taken to staring at his ears and wondering what was attached to them. He guessed that most of the students here had never heard of a cochlea implant before, and so had never seen a child with them or knew what they did. The young boy was a new first year, but he was also completely deaf as well and the machines that attached to his ears and head made it so he could hear when wearing them. Beau had been fitted with them last year and so he was still getting used to them has he hadn’t heard a sound since he was eight years old before then.
As he walked onto the Quidditch pitch he breaths in the fresh air and the smell of the grass under his shoes and smiles. Beau was an avid sports person and loved to play just about any sport he could try out for including football and field hockey when he was going to e home during the summer. The child wanted to try out for his house team but he was too young and was not allowed his own broom until next year so he would have to wait. He did not let his disability stop him from doing what he wanted and even though a fall from his broom was what caused his deafness he still loved to fly and hoped that he got a broom for his birthday this year.
He sits on the grass and lays back and closes his eyes as he listens to soft sounds around him as he enjoys not being around the other students. Beau liked to turn off his ears sometimes as noises bothered him if too many people talked to him at once or if there was a lot of loud banging or screeching sounds.
